Pro Animal Testing Essay
You know that pet you wanted for christmas or your birthday? Well there’s a chance it’s in a lab being tested on. A debate has been going on about how the negatives outweigh the positives or how the positives outweigh the negatives on animal testing. Although some may believe animal testing is valuable, in reality, it is unreliable, unsafe and inhuman.

One compelling reason to put a stop to animal testing is it’s unreliable. In fact a drug tested safe on animals was released and turned out to be toxic.Surely if we are relying on animal testing to cure diseases, it should be almost 100% accurate so children or adults who end up taking that drug to help them with their illness don’t end up dead. Also animal and human systems are quite different, penicillin is toxic to guinea pigs.Penicillin a drug, we use is toxic to guinea pigs an animal that could have prevented this drug from coming out because a guinea pig could have tested it and clearly the animal would have a negative reaction. One final example is 92% of drugs approved for testing in human trials fails to be approved for human use.Clearly animal testing is unreliable.

Another reason to put an end to animal testing is not only is it unsafe but inhuman as well. In fact a drug tested safe turned out to be toxic and killed 60,000

In fact, nearly 50 non-animal tests have been validated for use for, cosmetics and animal testers can use computer models. There are many alternatives, so why don’t we use them? There probably less expensive too. Also cosmetics could use ingredients that are already known to be safe. Cosmetics could use those ingredients that probably would be more reliable than testing on innocent animals. Equally important Europe has led the way by banning all animal testing in cosmetic products. Europe has chosen a more human path, at least for cosmetics why don’t we join them? Clearly There is an

Do you want to see animals abused and killed sometimes for nothing? Animal testing is flawed and can produce very unreliable results. Around 26 million animals are used every year for scientific and commercial testing. These animals are used to determine the toxicity and effectiveness of medications before they test it on humans. Therefore animal testing should be banned.…

Researchers have found out that 90% of drugs tested on animals that aren't harmful to them are to humans or don't have any affect on them.(Source 5). 90%! ,then why keep using animals? The testing on these poor animals is pointless! Scientist are just wasting money like it is nothing. If 90% of experiments are useless, then why are there over 100 MILLION experiments taking place in the U.S alone?(Source 5) Why is animal testing still a thing, people are just making innocent creatures suffer! If there is no valid reason to continue testing on animals, if it is only creating more deaths, then why do people still…

Animal testing on cosmetics should be banned. People are put in jail all the time for abusing their pets, but people are never put in jail for inhumane testing of cosmetics and other pharmaceuticals on these same animals. I have done a lot of research on animal testing and methods we can use that are more effective and don’t use animals through high school in my free time because of curiosity, so I know a lot of random facts about the harmful nature of this and alternative methods. Animals are being tortured to “help” make better medicine and, the majority of the time does not affect people the same way as animals. Animal testing is inhumane and ineffective the majority of the time, it should be banned.…

All over the world it happens, Animals being beaten, scorched with fire, irritated and even worse... killed! Many people believe Animal testing is brutal and is unnecessary (myself included), it's abuse towards the animals that do so much for us the animals we love is a horrific thing to think about. people just keep testing animals even though animals don't react like us as humans. Are there better things we can do? Things that don't cost the cosmetic company and taxpayers an arm and a leg? too thousands of animals are being disrupted each and every single year in the US alone.…

When it comes to the topic of animal testing, most of us will readily agree that it is a debatable topic. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the question of whether it helps researchers to find new drugs and treatments suitable for humans. Whereas some are convinced that it does help researchers find new drugs and treatments, others maintain that some drugs tested on animals may never actually be useful or even safe for human consumption. In my own view the results of animals testing are unreliable because animals and humans are not genetically or anatomically alike to one another.…

One of the main reasons I am against animal testing is the fact that the animals don’t have a choice and are being forced to be tested, which can lead to them getting seriously ill or dying as a cause of the testing. Each year in the USA alone, an estimate of 70 million animals are taken away from their natural habitat, blinded, scalded, force-fed chemicals, genetically manipulated, and basically hurt and killed in the name of science, by private institutions, household product and cosmetics companies, government agencies, educational institutions, and scientific centres. That is not right in my opinion and I don’t particularly see how it can be right in any morally correct human being’s opinion. So many animals experience pain or suffering and can do nothing about it, they are powerless in these situations and that is not fair, it’s not right. According to the Humane Society, registration of a single pesticide requires more than 50 experiments and the use of as many as 12, 000 animals, that statistic angers me and makes me fear for the potentially affected animals if these tests are to continue. To think that some of these tests are for cosmetic products such as make-up, nail varnish etc. leads me to believe that all the pain and suffering caused isn’t necessary and could be reduced to an extent, if not eradicated. If the animals can’t make the choice, then we can’t make the choice for them.…

Animal testing has been a topic of debate for many generations. It is difficult to imagine a common house hold pet subjected to extreme procedures of the mildest and painless form to the harshest form imaginable. I am talking about your average mouse, rabbit, cat or dog. At the same time, consumers want to be assured they are using the safest products available, and people want science to find cures for life-threatening diseases. Lately, science has tried to prove out theories and hypnosis through computer algorithms but we still have to rely on physical subjects like the animals referenced. There is no public argument that says we should not test products before entering the market, the debate is the method by which these products should be tested. Animal testing is necessary for biomedical research, but should be eradicated for vanity reasons in terms of cosmetics.…

In many cosmetics out there, an animal test was preformed. It is not required by law to do animal testing on cosmetics (Animals in product testing). It is morally wrong to test on animals. The animals might react different from the way a human being would react to the same substance. Millions of rabbits and other animals suffer painful eye and skin irritancy tests (Animals in product testing). Animals are killed for no good reason. The test could be unsuccessful and still the animals are dying. The tests preformed on animals are complete when 50 percent of the animals tested die…

Animal testing uses thousands to millions of dollars of taxpayer’s money but, in many cases it has been proven that animal experimentation has little or no scientific relevance. Each year, animals are being tested to show the effectiveness and safety of products, such as cosmetics, but how about if it’s not effective at all. How about it is a waste of time and money? Thousands of animals are experimented on that don’t grant assurance for humans. Animal testing should be banned in the U.S. because the genetic differences between humans and animals are tremendously wide.…

One reason why animal testing should be banned is because it harms animals. If we don’t ban animal testing, animals eventually will die off or be permanently blinded. I remember when I first found out about animal experimentation and that when an animal is done with the testing, scientists will put the animal in a room and spray gas that fills up the room and gives the animal a rapid death. Also, animals will be at risk for future…

In my opinion I believe that it is okay to a certain extent to be testing chemicals on animals because it is helping to create medicine which helps humans in the long run but I believe that companies and organisations shouldn’t have the right to test chemicals and substances on the life of an innocent animal for the sake of cosmetics, which in my opinion is not needed for anything helpful.…

The use of animals to test human drugs and cosmetic products and to conduct pointless laboratory experiments is unconventional. Humans and animals are similar, but they are not identical, so using animals to test products intended for humans does not make sense. Each year millions of animals are killed or badly maimed in laboratory experiments. Animal testings must be banned. The tests are usually proven to be ineffective, they waste tremendous amounts of money, the tests are cruel, and there are other ways to test drugs and cosmetic products.…

Currently the laws against animal testing do not apply for ninety to ninety five percent of the animals that are actually being used or harmed (Society). But, the laws against it do not apply to the millions of farm animals being used either. (MacClellan). The government also does not exclude or halt any experiment no matter if it is dangerous, stressful, or deadly for the animals being used (Society). Although countries including Europe, Israel, India, and the UK have put bans on animal testing and how it is done, the U.S and other countries refuse to do the same (MacCleallan). According to the PETA on animal testing, “The environmental organization from the U.S is continually pushing for more testing to be done while the rest of the world is trying to cut down.” The U.S has also been known to protest the use of non-animal testing methods (Testing Cosmetics). It is unbelievable that the U.S is continually going head to head with this problem even when countries using alternative methods, such as Europe, have agreed and stated that using alternative methods are more valuable, informative, less expensive, and quicker than the traditional way (Testing…
