One reason why animal testing should be banned is because it harms animals. If we don’t ban animal testing, animals eventually will die off or be permanently blinded. I remember when I first found out about animal experimentation and that when an animal is done with the testing, scientists will put the animal in a room and spray gas that fills up the room and gives the animal a rapid death. For example, Animals reactions are different than a human's reactions. Animals might get irritated by hairspray, but we humans don’t get irritated. According to Antidote-europe.org, the author states, “If we expose two different animal species to the same set of circumstances, such as a stress situation or exposure to a particular chemical, we would be unable to predict whether the outcome would be the same, or different.” Clearly, rats and mice are a lot smaller than humans. That would make the tests very inaccurate because our bodies are a lot bigger than rats and mice. Furthermore, animals aren’t used to the testing. So, the animals will be scared and the accuracy of the test will decrease. The animals are treated like toys in the labs, making them scared. Those are only a few reasons why animal testing should be banned.
