Pro Life or Pro Choice?
It has been a much known controversy for so long. People argue and sue each other, bringing this issue across the nation and even across the globe. Debates and verbal wars rage through this dilemma. It has been documented, explained and researched but the real questions are: What is the rightful decision? Which side should you take - pro-life or pro-choice? This paper is not here to merely to explain what both sides are or to point out the flaws of each. This paper’s goal is to give new insight to this issue that has been piercing the world for so long. And of course, this is not merely for entertainment. This paper was written in hopes to touch your conscience, to give you a reawakening, to open your eyes to an option you never knew existed. But first, let your mind wander to the basics. What is pro-life? Of course, it would be the preservation of life through whatever means, regardless of the intent, viability and quality of human life. Thus, this prohibits abortion, suicide or assisted suicide, death penalty and war. With this said, it is therefore clear what pro-choice is. Pro-choice affirms the legality of abstinence, the use of contraception, and abortion. Now that the two debatable choices have been defined, it would be best to hear out a different choice. It is tiring to hear about debates and arguments on this matter for so long. The church and government for as long as anyone could remember have been head on battling about this. How come they never get to the bottom of this? There should be something that could reconcile both sides. If leaders of the church are inclined to the right teachings of the Lord, then how come they never saw that the Almighty was inclined to death penalty? In the book of Genesis; Chapter Nine; Verse Six, the Lord said, “Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed”, or in the book of Numbers; Chapter Thirty-Five; Verse Thirty, “Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death”. A big controversy throughout the United States is about abortion and whether or not it should be illegal. People who are against abortion are called pro-life. Supporters of abortion are called pro-choice. Both sides have very strong and argumentative points and can even start disputes between friends. A couple of ways that abortion can be seen as a good thing is that nearly all abortions take place within the first trimester of the pregnancy, teenage mothers will most likely not have a good future, and every woman has the right to choose what to do with her own body. I believe that every woman has the right of choice which makes me pro-choice.…

What is Pro-Choice? Pro-Choice refers to the belief that a woman has the right to abort a baby from her body. Most people do not know how they stand on this subject. Usually a touchy subject, it is often kept a secret. I did extensive research on this subject after my older sister got an abortion. At first I was upset by the fact that she did it but now I realize that it was her choice and not mine. I feel that a woman has the right to do what she wants to her body. If a woman does not feel that she can raise a child then she should be able to do whatever she wants. If a woman gets an abortion in a case where she cannot raise the child then that is one less child put into foster care. During this speech I will inform you of the background on abortion, the different types of abortion, and also the main reasons to be pro-choice.…

Before I read Anna Quindlen’s Article I myself never knew what exactly pro-choice and Pro-life exactly meant, I just knew it was something that was always a heated debate between politics. But after reading this article I myself feel that with enough information that I’m both a prochoice and prolife supporter, I think a women shouldn’t be allowed to just Abort a Pregnancy without a really good explanation such as the baby was conceived by rape or that she suffers from a health condition that would put her in danger if she went through with the pregnancy. Pregnant woman should always consider other options such as adoption or giving the baby to a family member before making that final decision.…

Abortion, a medical practice that results in termination of a human pregnancy, dates back to ancient Egypt and is recorded in the Ebers Papyrus, a medical text from the time of 1550 BCE (“When Did Abortion…”, par. 2). Abortion is a hot topic that is currently sweeping the US and has been for many years now. There are two stances citizens tend to take on the issue of abortion: pro-choice and pro-life. Many people do not advocate strongly for either; they lie somewhere in the middle gray area. Both people who are pro-choice and pro-life have coherent grounds for believing in such. It is logical to base such reasoning on evidence to prove their claims. The people who are pro-choice have several reasons to support their stance, although those who…

There are many differences between a “pro- choice” position on abortion and a “pro- life” position. People who are “pro- choice”, then they believe that it is the woman’s decision if she wants to have a child and carry it for nine months. If someone is “pro- life”, then they are against anyone getting an abortion. They believe that the fetus has the same rights as a human being. The argument the “pro- life” people strongly believe is that every undeveloped human is sacred and must be protected by the government. The “pro- choice” people argue that when a humans personhood cannot be proven in pregnancies, then the government does not have the right to prevent a woman her right to decide whether or not she wants to continue with the pregnancy.…

Abortion is defined as the ending of pregnancy by removing a fetus or embryo from the womb before it can survive on its own. It can also be defined as the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy or the act of ending an unwanted pregnancy. Abortion itself is the most difficult and controversial moral issue to consider. The arguments that arise from this issue is life and death though the uncertainty of complication makes it difficult. The debate over abortion can be critical. Usually there are two voice of reason for this difficult topic: Pro-life and Pro-choice. In this world there are at least two sides to every story. The opposite sides are not necessarily good or bad, but different from each other. One of these "stories" is the story of abortion. Abortion is defined as the destruction or termination of a fetus while still in the mother's womb. However, abortion is so much more then just the definition. There are consequences. There are two sides: pro-life and pro-choice. There is controversy over which is the correct way to go. Personally knowing people who have chosen opposite sides on this one particular topic makes it one that truly means a lot to me as a writer.…
