How to Live a Healthier Lifestyle Leading a healthy lifestyle is a common goal among most people today, but few have ever committed and succeeded. Unless you’re one of the few that have attempted to try and live a healthier lifestyle at one point or another and succeeded, continue reading to become a healthier you. Living a better and healthier lifestyle isn’t as difficult as it may seem. It’s about breaking bad habits, developing a better diet, and becoming more active and exercising when possible. Everyone has a bad habit, some worse than others; for instance, drinking, tobacco, drugs, and even poor sleep habits are all bad habits that can affect your health significantly. Kicking these habits could improve your health/well-being drastically, but the problem is sometimes they can be hard to stop. The first step to dropping a bad habit is to replace it with a good habit; for instance, if you usually party at night, you could start a workout routine at night that would prevent you from having most nights free. The second step to getting rid of a bad habit is to stop feeding the habit; this means don’t set yourself up for failure. For example, if you’re a smoker, stay away from the tobacco lane at stores; by doing this you won’t be tempted and, therefore, will not purchase cigarettes. Once your bad habits are no longer habits, you are well on your way to being healthy and living a much better lifestyle. Possibly the most important thing in leading a healthy life is learning how to eat right. Did you know that about 90% of Americans believe that their diet is somewhat healthy, but over half of the population is overweight? This shows that most people are unaware of how bad their diet actually is. In order to improve diets, you must first take baby steps and learn that sometimes more is less. It is recommended that people eat 4-5 averagely portioned meals a day compared to the 2 giant meals to which most are
