During times of an emergency catastrophe, a leader must demonstrate their commitment, expertise, and their skills when responding to emergencies (Johnson, 2009). The primary goal of this paper is to first, analyze an emergency crisis in Brown trout bay, in addition, to identifying exactly what manner a leader’s behavior and means of communication demonstrate their interpersonal influence. The community of the Brown Trout Bay has recently experienced a significant number of floods resulting in the community’s water supply is jeopardized and a mandatory evacuation order of the surrounding communities resulting from the contamination of the county’s water supply. Therefore, in the effort to address the immediate issues of residents residing within the communities living without water for approximately 24 hours the department of Emergency operations center (EOC) deployed to address the issues of providing water to the residents of the communities.
