Prom Queen Essay

As children we all have dreams, goals, and aspirations of being someone or something great. We are taught that the sky is the limit, but as we grow up we learn that there are footprints on the moon, that’s why I feel nothing is impossible. When I was younger I was undecided on what I wanted to be; a policeman, fireman, or maybe even a doctor but growing up and now seeing how the world works I’ve decided that I wanted to be a cooperate lawyer. Some people may have doubts in my dream of becoming a cooperate lawyer but I am determined to prove them wrong. In Ferris High School my freshman year I began learning about business management, the more I learned the more interested I became. Finding myself doing personal research outside the classroom, it was clear to me I wanted to become a cooperate lawyer. Before learning about business management school was just something I had to do because it was a requirement but now it’s something I’m truly passionate about. I’m so excited for my future because I know after high school I’m going to further my knowledge and become a successful cooperate lawyer. Furthering my education beyond High School is very important to me for many reasons. My main reason for furthering my education is because I want to prove to myself, those who doubt me, my family and everyone else that great things are possible and that anything can be achieved if you work hard. I also want to further my education beyond High School because knowledge is the key to success. I want to grow up and leave a positive impression on my younger relatives and be someone they can look up too in the future. Also furthering my education would give me great skills and experience. Becoming a cooperate lawyer would not only be a dream fulfilled for me, but also it would make a great amount of money. Money I could use to help my family and struggling foundations and organizations that are in need. I feel I

I have my own personal goals and Smalls is a very pure example of the meaning behind the saying "nothing is impossible." Robert Smalls was the son of Lydia Polite, whom was a house servant owned by the McKees. The McKees did not treated Smalls horribly like many other slave owners do to slaved men and woman working on plantations picking cotton; in fact, Smalls’ first 10 years of life were smooth…

It is so important to me because I know that in today's world how valuable having an education is. I understand how competitive it is to find a job, but having a college education puts you a step ahead of everyone else, and gives you a better opportunity to make more money throughout your lifetime and getting a job in your career field. For me, having a college education is a necessity, I want to be able to keep learning and to grow as a person. College will help me be the type of person I want to be as an adult and it will also give me the ability to live my life the way that I have always dreamed of and the way I imagined it. Being able to come back to Euclid and do everything I can to help make a change and a difference would be a huge honor for me. I would love to completely reverse Euclid's reputation into one of a prosperous city that people enjoy to visit and live in. I also want to be able to provide for my family and surround my kids in a good environment and give them more opportunities that I never had available to me, and continuing my education is the start of it…

Former successful Olympian, Gail Devers, once said “Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication” (Gail Devers, Brainy Quotes). Dever’s words resonate as she inspires those who usually let obstacles keep them from chasing their dreams. As children with an overactive imagination, nothing seems out of reach. Somehow, as we grow older, we begin to notice our strengths and weaknesses and we end up letting go of our old dreams and moving on. Growing up, I fanaticized over what I would do as an adult. Those fantasies ranged from a world-famous pop star to President of the United States. Through all those times of make-believe speeches and singing into a hairbrush, one of my…

College is fundamental to me for several reasons. For example, in the article College Is Worth The Cost, by Brooks C. Holtom states that “college graduates earn $2.1 million in a lifetime income compared with $1.2 million for high school graduates.” I will earn about a million more dollars than high school graduates if I am a college graduate. This is important because then I will have enough money to provide for my own kids and wife later on then I would also have enough money to give to my parents and siblings if they need it. Also, the article states, “continuing education after high school is much more important for our generation compared to our parents generation.” Additionally most jobs require more than a high school diploma. Did your parents attend college? If your parents did not have a chance to go to college then you should go to college to make them proud of you. College doesn’t just bring you school it also brings you adventure, parties, new friends, and more fun stuff. Lastly, in the article Getting…

Deciding to go continue my education and further learning after high school was one of the best decisions I’ve made only because it’s what will benefit my future living, financially and mentally as well. Attending school has taught me useful tips I’ll use for the rest of my life, whether its time management, not procrastinating with anything and pushing myself to the highest possible limit. At the end of the day college is not for everyone to attend, it isn’t something to not take seriously; it requires dedication, patience, social skills, etc. Although college is a privilege but I see it more as a necessity in life in order to expand your horizons and life’s possibilities.…

There are many reasons why I am attending college. However, I am only going to address my main motives. One reason why I have enrolled in college is the opportunity to further my knowledge. I believe that knowledge is the key to success. I say this because most career jobs in modern society request that you have at least a bachelor 's degree to get hired on at an entry level position. I reasonably believe the perspective of Corporate America is that an educated individual will function more efficiently than an uneducated one. Also, attending college will prepare me for a rewarding career in law enforcement. I plan on joining a federal law enforcement agency and the criteria states that personnel must posses a bachelor 's degree as a minimum. Getting the career in federal law enforcement means I will be able to support my family in the future. Supporting them with a source of income from a career I am passionate about and enjoy will make my family and I happy. For example my mother supported three children on her own and she loved what she did so that aided in the amount of happiness present inside our home.…
