2) For 60 years, cruelty towards livestock on ships has gone completely unnoticed. What these animals suffer on typical export ships is hard to swallow. More than 100 thousand litres of faeces and urine accumulates on an average live export ship during travel. The ship won’t be washed out until after the livestock disembark. Very cruel indeed.This is occuring with animals being exported from Australia halfway around the world to be slaughtered for some greedy company’s profit.

8) Personally, I think they can resolve it by killing the animals before exportation because it will be much less cruel for the animals. The exporters should do this then freeze the meat before shipping.
9) Although this copiously better, it can cause many issues in itself. One issue is the freezers could fail, meaning thousands of dollars go right down the drain. Another is after being defrosted, the meat will decrease in quality and value. A domino effect of issues will occur, starting with farmers not making enough profit to withstand their business.
10) One religious issue related to the exportation of live animals is the Muslim halal. It is part of the Islamic religion to kill animals for a feast for their family and assists in facing Mecca, the Muslim heaven. So if live exports to the middle-east cease, issues may arise regarding this.
11 ) Beside all the controversy and alleged resolutions regarding live animal exportation, it all comes down to how the government act upon it. So unless the government finds a way to neutralise live animal exportation, whilst finding a way for the farmers to make profit, I believe that no rectification will come of it.
