Refined grains is the opposite of whole grains. It is certain parts of grains that are refined and modified, by which it is no longer a pure and natural substance for the the body to break down. What is taken out of the natural grain are two substances; bran and germ. Due to this the additives put in to substitute are iron and thiamin. Due to this process, refined grains are less nutrient based than whole grains. The grain amaranth originated from Latin America and was smuggled to Asia. It was called “king seed” or “seed sent by god” due to its taste. The kernels are very small and look similar to caviar when they are cooked. My reaction to the first video was that companies that have high fructose corn syrup are being mislabeled of carrying products that are really bad for their kids. So the overall idea of the commercial is to stop the rumor that people assume high fructose corn syrup is really bad for kid’s health. It makes it relatable to parents by displaying ignorance over factual and scientific evidence in a condescending way. The second video displays the same feeling of being misinformed or uneducated on high fructose corn syrup, but puts it in a very condescending and humiliating way, which makes it comical. Both HFCS and sucrose contain carbohydrates. But sucrose contains more glucose and HFCS is considered a monosaccharide. HFCS contains six oxygen atoms, 12 hydrogen atoms, and six carbon atoms. I would label HFSC a complex carbohydrate and sucrose a simple
