Pros And Cons Of Cosmetic Enhancement
Cosmetic enhancement has quite a few positives, therefore is should be kept legal. One reason that it should be kept legal is because people are allowed to do whatever they want with their own body in order for them to look and feel beautiful. It states in “Plastic Surgery: Understanding your choice” that whether you want a nose job or breasts implants, it is highly important to thoroughly understand everything about your choice and how you want to look. That shows that it is definitely your choice and you can do whatever makes you happy with yourself and your looks. Another reason why it should not be illegal is that people are doing it because they want to fit in with society and unless society changes, cosmetic enhancement should stay legal.

In “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God”, it talked about us being sinners and God was very angry with all of us. It would say things like “The God that holds you over the pit of hell, much as one holds a spider or some loathsome insect over a fire, abhors you, and is dreadfully provoked.” I think that through out this story Edwards is trying to say that since we sin very many times, God gets kind of on edge with us, but he keeps on holding us over hell and doesn’t let us fall in because he is a great God, but once you do something that seriously provokes Him, he may drop you into Hell. This was my interpretation of the story though, I was a little bit confused about it.…

These procedures are becoming more and more common as time passes. It is said that the rate of plastic surgery procedures have risen 115%. Which is a 2% increase from 2014. Price wise with these procedures can range from $4,025 to $15,500, lowest being an Otoplasty and highest being a Body lift. These numbers are outrageous in my opinion. The fact that you might not even be happy with your results or risk some serious health issues because of the surgeries would convince to not take that path. (The Cosmetic Cop) 15 million procedures were performed in the U.S. in 2013. And at least 600,000 patients with problems and potentially more. Heidi Montag, a victim of her too well publicized marathon of 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day. She says, “ I would love to not be ‘plastic girl’ or whatever they call me.” she told Life & Style. “ Surgery ruined my career and my personal life and just brought a lot of negativity into my world. I wish I could jump into a time machine and take it all back. Instead i’m always going to feel like Edward Scissorhands.” ( Our Bodies Selves) Most women who get breast implants have at least one serious complication within the first three years. This is a perfect example of how the wrong mindset can affect you. Plastic surgery can lead to many negative side effects. For example, Hematoma.
