This is an analytical report about the public acceptance of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act also known as the ObamaCare reform.
Acceptance of the ObamaCare Reform
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, also known as ObamaCare, is a bill signed into law created to reform the health care industry. It was approved on March 23 2010. When President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law, comprehensive reforms was put in place to improve access to affordable health coverage for everyone and protect consumers from abusive insurance company practices according to the Health Reform in Action, 2012. In this analytical report about the Obamacare Reform is created with the purpose to analyze the voters’ reaction towards it. The information has been recompiled from researches done on subject related blog sites, newspapers articles and books. Finally twenty five Mandl School: the College of Health Allied students were interviewed randomly and individually to recorded their opinion and perceived their knowledge about the reform.
Findings show that the Obama health care legislation has received mixed reviews over the last couple years. Many people dislike the idea of Obamacare because of misinformation obtained from the press, political candidates and by those who refuse to seek the information themselves and go on hearsay. For this reason I reformulated my hypothesis focusing on the negative reviews and cons against the ObamaCare reform. With the intent to understand how a reform which goal is to provide affordable health insurance for all US citizens and to reduce the growth in health care spending it’s seems to trigger so much controversy. This reform makes specific changes to the healthcare industry to improve its services and accessibility. ObamaCare does not replace private insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid.
