Public vs Private Schools

Public and Private Lives Parents often wonder how to start off their children’s education. Depending on ones religion or beliefs a private or public school is a choice most parents face. Public schools are a better choice for parents because of academic, affordability, and diversity. Private schools get in the way of public schools.
Basically, a private school works for the students' desires, while a public school demands that its students work for their designated needs. The intellectual climate at a private school is more academically oriented than public schools. Public education provides students with a broader education. The advantages of going to a public school are that they are inexpensive, provide transportation, and have diversity. These are advantages because parents get to save a lot of money, and students have the opportunity to take the bus. I met my best friend on the bus riding home. All the seats were filled giving me no choice but to sit with him. Never imagining how different it made my personality being exposed to public schools. Not saying that in private schools you can’t meet your best friend.
This position feels that private schools prevent the public schools from having a total monopoly over education by offering the community an alternative choice. This choice also produces competition with public schools for student enrollment. Public schools have to be an option for parents that cannot afford a private school education. This is an obvious short coming to private schools, since they do not operate on the taxpayers’ funds. However, some private schools do private scholarships to poorer families. However, one distinct advantage of private schools is their abilities to satisfy their students’ special needs. A Catholic school, for example, provides the strict discipline that some students need.
