You’ll need to apply at least two theses to Frankenstein using examples from two different volumes of the text. You’ll also need to apply at least one thesis to The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. For the entire essay, the minimum number of theses to discuss is three (three different theses), but you are welcome to go beyond that number and include an additional thesis that apply to the novel or the excerpt. All monsters have that one thing that sets them apart from the rest whether it’s the notorious big foot and his big foot, Michael Myers and his huge kitchen knife, or even werewolves and the fact that they transform when a full moon is out. Every monster is unique and different, but in the book Monsters there are seven theses and one thesis stood out. Theses number six in the book Monsters states that “Fear of the monster is really a kind of desire.” That thesis is true when it comes to a certain fictional monster by the name of Freddy Krueger.…

    Chasing the Rabbit

This book “Chasing the Rabbit” by Steven Spear was a difficult read for me, I didn’t like that it didn’t flow easily like the “Hug your customer” book by Jack Mitchell. This is supposed to be a good read book, but I honestly wasn’t impressed. I don’t like all his focus on Toyota and other industries. I’m assuming the goal of this book was to show us different challenges that organization may face while they are all on the chase for the rabbit or money or success I should say. I get that the main focus of a company is to bring in revenue and to compete with other companies in their industry, but I don’t see why he need to focus so much of the book on Toyota’s success, I get that his little stories showed us something in the end but I do feel like it was too much at times.…

It is fairly common for similar events to be witnessed by many different people, however, the way people think about the events range from one end of the world to the other. Two examples of this truth happen to be John James Audubon and Annie Dillard, both writers experienced seeing a flock of birds in flight, but Audubon takes a more scientific approach and Dillard conveys a more casual and awestruck message.…

It's one thing to recognize your childhood home when you see it in a photograph and quite another to accurately describe or draw a picture of it based on your recollection of how it looked. A new report published online on April 28 in Current Biology, a Cell Press publication, offers some of the first clear evidence that monkeys, like humans, have the capacity for both forms of memory. The researchers found that rhesus monkeys can flexibly recall extremely simple shapes from memory, as evidenced by their ability to reproduce those shapes on a computer touch screen. The findings suggest that human and monkey memory is more similar than scientists knew, the researchers say.…
