As for the rest of groups, a total of sixty participants only had the collaborator agreed with only 1 participant, for the remaining sixty-six, the collaborator agreed with two or more college students (Antonio, Chang, Hakuta, Kenny, Levin, Milen). After the first discussion, college students were asked to write another short essay explaining their opinion on a different topic. The purpose of this essay was in order to understand the influence of the collaborators. Experimenters wanted to understand if college students felt like they could see the situation from a different perspective after having the open discussion. Participants were then asked to fill out a questionnaire that indicated how influential each person was in the group. The purpose of this was to understand how having others around you can influence and change your perspective.
