And it represents the highest level of concern about racism in this country in at least 20 years. I would have to agree with that now that law enforcement officers have been using their power as an excuse to use excessive/deadly force towards a specific race. Most importantly, not getting punished for their crime, or realizing that harm they’ve cost.
Most kids, specifically teens, have been known to discriminate. Asian American teens are bullied more than youths belonging to any other racial group, according to new data from the U.S. Justice and Education departments. The disparity is even greater when it comes to cyber bullying. 62 percent of Asian Americans surveyed reported being harassed online once or twice monthly. While only 18.1 percent of whites were cyber bullied.
Racism and discrimination affect a large group of people each and every day. Every year per every population of 100,000 people 1,369.2 black males and 895.6 white males commit suicide due to racism and discrimination. In Aurora, Colorado 397.6 black males committed suicide while 177.7 white males died by the hand of racism. Due to discrimination amongst certain groups of people 1,572 people commit suicide every single year. Racial profiling affects many lives and causes many people pain.
Racial profiling still fully exists today and it is no doubt that people should change their ways and be more caring when it comes to this situation. Racial profiling has lead to many tragic incidents, such as, emotional pain, murder and suicide. And However, will continue to happen.
