Radio 21 Case Study
This employee believes that the relationship between a subordinate and his manager has to be based on trust, honesty, respect and mutual appreciation and a certain degree of friendship in order to create a relaxed atmosphere.
He stated that a manager should treat each and every individual as one and avoid partialities at work.
The first respondent said that the manager of his department encourages honest upward communication, but he neglects it sometimes because his responsibilities have increased over time and thus, he gets overwhelmed and easily distracted.
This employee shows sympathy towards his manager because he understands that the number of employees within the department is limited to two individuals and the amount of responsibilities

Therefore, he believes that they have the tendency to use all the communication channels in excess in order to send information, responsibilities and make themselves understood by others. He also said that the employees within Radio 21 seek help when something is unclear.

The first employee argued that the radio is an industry where everyday brings new challenges, more precisely they have to confront daily with new situations, which need immediate solutions.
Many tasks are not standardized within Radio 21 as this employee stated. He also specified that they have to take care of additional tasks, which come from other managers and colleagues within the company, apart from their daily activities. He came to the conclusion that they have to perform projects in parallel, which can be very exhausting and overwhelming, but they cannot say no easily. He stated that they rely on technology to complete their daily tasks, even though they deny it most of the times.

    As I read “The Enormous Radio,” my interest was immediately piqued by the author’s use of the word “malevolent” when describing the radio’s green light. The radio has the power to look into other people’s lives and show their secrets to others and judge them for their sins.
