I am enthusiastically determined to help the wider community and therefore I have realised that this particular course would be ideal for me as it fulfils my future goals. Skills and insight into this career have provided me with invaluable information about the job role.
Outside school I have volunteered to work at my local pharmacy, I was trained to sell medicines, take prescriptions in and measure blood pressure and blood glucose levels.
This acquired me skills that I found useful, due to dealing with patients and customers. Giving your patient the best medicine and advice shows that Radiography and Pharmacy have a link. They both do their utterly most to provide the best service for their patients.
Applied Science has given me humongous knowledge covering several topics. It has gave me an understanding of wider general scientific based knowledge and practical experience. Along with this, Computers are also used broadly on a day to day base in the radiology department. I know that I can bring back my ICT skills in order to understand how technology works. I am a fast learner and very dedicated, I will put my full dedication to this course in order to succeed in life.
I enjoy doing activities that link with Radiography and health care. I participated in National Citizen Service; I have gained vital skills such as leadership, communication and teamwork. Volunteering for elderly allowed me to care for people of old age. I have completed 30 hours of social action, carrying out various tasks, such as; fundraising and bag packing for charity. It also included activities involving the nature life; walking, canoeing, rope climbing
etc.
During my spare time I enjoy reading novels, magazines and learning how to cook. Through my research and work experience I have been commended to be punctual, organised and able to meet deadlines. These qualities will help me succeed in Higher Education and for a successful career in Radiography. By completing the Progression Module, I have gained numerous skills for when I enter into my career. I have a clearer understanding about finance and loans. I was taught about handling money, skills in budgeting and financial planning.
Diagnostic Radiography interests to me greatly. My desire to serve the needs of others and the passion of the subject will allow me to rise to any challenge. I am aware of the competency of this course and I will be willing to give in my all. Succeeding as a Diagnostic Radiographer and working for the NHS will be my dream fulfilled.
