Radiologic Technologist Research Paper

Radiologic Technologist: Time passed and a mother desperate for not knowing what’s going on with her baby’s body. Immediately she was thinking about it and she takes her baby to the hospital, she asked for a doctor and the nurse first asked the mother what was her trouble and the mother explain to the nurse everything that was happening with the head of the baby and the nurse recommended the mother to talk to a radiologic technologist. She finally did an appoinment and she take her baby with a radiologic technologist. Without a doubt, radiologic technologists are very important to know the problems inside the human body.
First of all, to begin with a career is mandatory to get graduate from high school and then get the basics
that are two year pathway. To become a radiologist are 14 terms in total that a person have to study in the term 1 is necessary to have complete the 11% of classes, term 2 is 22%, term 3 is 31%, term 4 is 39%, term 5 is 55%, term 6 stays at 55%, term 7 and 8 stays at 73%, term 9 is 77%, term 10 and 11 stays at 88%, term 12 and 13 is 95% and in the term 14 is 100% and is when you complete your basics with a total of 64 hours in two years (Odessa College). For this career is very important to take plenty of math and science, anatomy, chemistry and physics, english are necessary to help with the improvement of the skills, for this career also is necessary to consider to be taking photography classes and that will help to give experience with choosing film, framing on a image and developing photographs (“Radiologic Technologists” Ferguson’s).
In this case, the occupation of a radiologic technologists there's no always have a chance of getting work easily is depending on the employment rate on that moment because the career of radiologic technologist have a employment rate that is expected to being increasing by 24.48% and there are sometimes that there are not probability of get job when a person already finished with their two years of college for example, where are the most possibility of get a job how radiologist is in general medical hospitals and surgical hospitals with a chance of 58.2 % , offices of physicians is with 21.2% , medical diagnostic laboratories 8% and in outpatient care centers the chance is of 4%. So, that percentages shows that in this career is not easy to get a job quickly, it takes time (“Radiologic Technologists” Texas Career Check). Radiologic technologists are needed everywhere around the world as they are the only ones who are specialized in investigating what happens in the bones and deep parts of the human body. The demography of a Radiologic technologist is depending on where they study if a person study in a big city have more probability to found a job than in a small town (“Radiologic Technologists” Ferguson’s).
The starting salary of a Radiologic technologist is less than $38,110 per year and then the salary goes up and is of $56,670 per year and the onlys considered with experience are who earn more than $81,660 per year (“Radiologic Technologists” Ferguson’s). Also, many of radiologic technologists are employed in hospitals where there are opportunities for advancement to administrative and supervisory positions but that can happen when a radiologists being working already how a radiologists more than 4 years and is when the advancement prospects can go ahead (“Radiologic Technologists” Ferguson’s).
Therefore, when the mother take her baby with the radiologic technologist that the nurse recommended her, the mother was in the holding area while the radiologist was doing a computed tomography (CT) scan that is what goes allow to the radiologist to know what was going on with the head’s baby, but the mother was still anguished imagining what her baby might have in her head.
After 30 minutes the radiologist took the baby with his mother and he was explaining to the mother everything that in the scans he was seeing, and he realized that in the baby’s head was something weird but the radiologist decided to make another x-rays to the baby to be sure what was the trouble. After a week the mom still worried for the situation of her baby, and she came back to the hospital with the radiologist and the radiologist talk with the mother about what was happening in the baby's head and the trouble was a small tumor that was just forming and with an urgent operation the problem would be solved. My reason of want to study the career of radiologic technologist is because that career are very interesting for me and i like to help people who have that type of problems, it is very interesting for me how a radiologist can know about what’s happening inside of the human body, is something inexplicable what i feel when i imagine myself being a radiologic technologist and i wish to accomplish my dream of be a radiologic
technologist.
