Rains Are A Blessing For MankindAfter
Rains are a blessing for mankind. After hot summer months, we can only wait for a rainy day.
I remembered one such rainy day when I was going to school. I noticed a change in weather. The clouds gathered in the sky. Thunder rolled. Suddenly it started raining. There was a downpour for a short while but soon it turned into a steady rain. I had to give up the hope of going to school.
I saw people out in balcony of their houses thoroughly enjoying the showers. Children moved out almost shrieking in joy. The small children also started playing with the paper boats which they made with multi-coloured paper. All the dirt and dust from the plants and trees washed away.
The heavy rain went on for hours together. The roads and streets went under knee deep water. The parks turned into pools of water. Buses, cars and other vehicles stopped plying. Pedestrians were wading through the water. The normal life of the city was disrupted. However in the evening, the air became cool and pleasant. The trees looked fresh and green. A rainbow appeared in the sky adding to the beauty of nature.
It is exhilarating to watch pouring rain and is truely a great blessing of God. I enjoyed the day listening to songs, seeing the sights of rain outside and of course, eating delicious dishes.

When man’s reach exceeds his grasp, he will bring about his own destruction; this is an idea presented in many of Ray Bradbury’s works. Through irony and symbolism, the story indirectly details and warns us of the dangers of letting scientific progress run rampant. In Ray Bradbury’s “August 2026: There Will Come Soft Rains”, the author presents the idea that man’s complacency with technology will bring about the world’s destruction.…

The acrid curses that followed only led me to tear more, but the bittersweet aftertaste of each tear soothed the pain in my wound. Slowly it recovered and the bleeding had stopped, casting the last tear into the puddle beneath. ~~~ Dark, gloomy clouds infuse the horizon as the prolonged day tardily transformed into the polar opposite of light. A droplet of rain water landed on the side of my cheek as we stared at above.…

Everything was silent at first, as are most moment’s right before a major storm. People were roaming around, minding their own business and going about their days like nothing was wrong. It was quite clear most were trying to rush to get everything accomplished before the downpour, but no one knew how soon it would happen. Suddenly, as young eyes searched around the area for a treat for being a good boy during the trip, the wind suddenly picked up. Papers and leaves blew about, some flying in front of his face. This caused him to let go of the hand he was holding onto so he could rub at his eyes. He heard a voice, but the wind was too loud for him to hear over.…

As a secondary interpretation, one may understand the poem to be portraying the message that humanity plays an extensive unnecessary role in the survival and vitality which nature upholds on earth.…
