Rapunzel Book Vs Movie
Brother Grimm's print version of Rapunzel, and Disney's film version of Tangled both send the same message of not giving up, but the film version is more effective in sending the main idea. In the print version of Rapunzel, the love interest of Rapunzel is the prince, who is too naïve and listens to what Rapunzel says, without questioning her decisions. He is curious at first about Rapunzel, and then when he meets her, he falls in love instantly. This leads to the loss of his sense of sight, taken by Gothel, who had found out about the prince from Rapunzel a few moments before. However, the love interest of Rapunzel in the film version, Eugene, is seen as a more cunning individual. He deceives people at first, but as time goes on, he realizes his feelings for Rapunzel, and helps her follow her …show more content…
In the movie version, the King and Queen, as well as the Kingdom, have attempted many times to find Rapunzel, such as the floating lanterns that are sent out every year on Rapunzel's birthday. This helps send the message because it shows that the King and Queen truly care about Rapunzel and worry about her. Here, the movie version of the Kingdom is more effective in sending the message because there is effort put into finding Rapunzel, while in the printed version, there is not a single attempt at finding Rapunzel. Lastly, the character of Rapunzel herself in the film version is also very naïve, and quite stupid. She falls in love with the prince at first sight, and agrees on marrying him. She also causes her own downfall and indirectly harms the prince by telling Gothel about the prince visiting the tower secretly. This is not effective in sending the message because Rapunzel makes no attempts to go against Gothel, she gives up almost instantly. In the movie version, the character of Rapunzel is courageous, and follows her dream to see the lanterns even though she was not allowed

The Disney version of Pocahontas and the real story have many differences such as the romance, Pocahontas’ personality, and how the story ended. Disney has romanticized the tragic story of Pocahontas into not one, but two cartoons, with a target audience of children. And with deeply embedded messages into the plot of love and strength, many differences surface, showing off Disney’s ability to make a story of war, captives, and death a happy tale for children to enjoy.…

There are many differences between the movie and the book. First the positive points: This film attaches faces to Scout, Jem, Miss Maudie, and Dill, since no description of their faces is given in the book. Also, the film has some genuinely hilarious moments, particularly the scene where Scout is dressed as a ham and walking through the forest. Another good point is that the acting was superb and a treat to watch. Gregory Peck, who played Atticus, was captivating. The film is cast very well. The novel does not give physical descriptions of Scout, Jem, Miss Maudie, and Dill, but the film characters were believable. The actors look like what we would expect them to look like.…

The Book Thief is an encouraging tale of a fictional girl named Liesel. Liesel was raised during a time of great pain and suffering: Nazi Germany. Many Jews, Gypsies, mentally and physically disabled, and others were killed over a ten year timespan. Scope magazine adapted the book and the movie to create a play. One of the characters, named Death, states, “I’m always finding humans at their best and worst. I see their ugly and their beauty, and I wonder how the same thing can be both.” True, we’re all human beings but how we picture the world and react to it is a whole different story. The extent of examples that can be found in the novel, movie, play, and even real life Nazi Germany has a very wide range including the mass murders and the “Harriet Tubman”s.…

In the book and movie of To Kill a Mockingbird, the lesson of keeping one’s head held high is experienced differently. The lesson is openly stated in both the novel and the movie. Atticus says to Scout after a fight with Cecil Jacobs to, “just hold your head high and keep those fists down” (Lee 76). Scout had fought Cecil because she believed Atticus would want her to stand up for him. Yet, Atticus tells her the opposite and wishes she would let all the rude talk go rather than fighting those who talked badly of him. However, this lesson is only seen one other time in the film despite how important of a lesson it is. It comes when Mr. Ewell spits in Atticus’ face and he wipes it off, gets into his car, and drives away. There is no reference…

The difference between two NFL quarterback’s varies based on skill level and how much they want to succeed in the league. Not all Quarterbacks in the league will be hall of famers, and some of these players come into the league and will have to improve on their talents. Great quarterbacks ranging from Tom Brady and Drew Brees had to prove they were worth a starting job. For example, Tom Brady was a 6th round draft pick and was a backup behind another QB. He went down and Tom entered the game to prove his worthiness for a football team; and the rest is history. This leads up to an NFL quarterback, by the name of Mark Sanchez. This quarterback had the glory and praise during his college career unlike Brady. However, Sanchez was not able to capitalize on that in once entering the league, because as a quarterback his mechanics and decision making proved he was not that much of a great player as stated in his college days. College skills compared to NFL skills does not always mean the football player will succeed in the ruthless league off the NFL.…

Our government has not always been as successful as it is today. America’s government began with the Articles of Confederation and separate state constitutions. This was difficult. The country was not united. Each state took care of everything on their own and the national government could not do anything. Our country had no national money or militia. Traveling was almost impossible. There were very few positive concepts with the Articles of Confederation. Our present government is a federalism. This means there is equal power between the government and the people. Our government is divided into three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. We can find information on these federal branches in the United States Constitution. We find information on the state level of these branches in our Minnesota Constitution. Our government at the state and federal levels have many similarities along with differences.…
