(Reaction Paper) As I watched the movie, a lot of questions and clarifications comes in mymind. The movie was so tricky and full of twist which is really hard to understand yet as the movie goes on, my questions and clarifications are slowly answered and cleared. At first my impression was how intelligent John Nash was, as most people who suffer from mental illness. The feeling of sorrow came over me , as I watched him struggle with the feelings of loneliness and depression, he struggled to find focus for his project and a place in the student hierarchy. I wondered if it was because of his lack of family support that he became socially awkward, and his lack of correct emotional responses in social situations. His interactions with women amused me and troubled me. His star gazing and observations, patterns where not only intriguing but also was a testament of his genius. This kind of movie really touched me in a way where I can see myself sometimes in the life of Mr. John Nash. Yes, I actually talk to myself often, imagine things that doesn’t exist, sometimes believed in my own thoughts. Unfortunately, Mr. John Nash life is more miserable and very difficult to understand and bring. He’s lucky that he found a girl who’s willing to do everything and sacrifice anything just to bring him back to normal. Mr.Nash friends was wondering about his behavior and gestures since he’s suffering from the so-called schizophrenia, a psychological problem. I’m also wondering why he hallucinate those 3 peoples and many things that leads him to theraphy. He then became paranoid because of his situation when he agree to Parcher’s work. It showed me that mentally ill people can lead very productive and happy lives. Although he had his hard times, with medication and treatment he was able to overcome his illness and have a decently normal life. This movie encourage me to respect and understand people who has mental problem or illness in the streets
