Read/Write Learning Style Analysis
I also was not very suprised that i have a preference for the read/write learning style. I do the same as you. I read the text and take notes on the important topics. I agree that rewriting the information helps me engrave it in my memory. However, with the Learn Smart resource the important parts are already found and highlighted for you. This makes the need for copying the text not as important but without taking notes myself, it will be harder for me to understand the material. So this new resource will create some new challeges for me but as you stated i always have the support of my instructor or advisor if i need

Learning style? Why would one need to know a learning style? There is a way for you to find out what type of learning style you have. The VARK learning style assessment tool, developed by Neil Fleming, is an assessment that can be taken to discover ones learning style. There are several learning styles; kinesthetic style; those who learn from hands on experience, auditory learners; a learning style of memorization by retaining what is heard (Blasen, n.d., para.1), visual learners; individuals who retain best through written language such as reading and writing ("VARK Questionnaire," 2011, para. 1), and last multimodal study strategy; a learning strategy of…

When I saw this assignment, of having to write about an artwork that had been erased, I was a little astonished. There was this piece of art that someone had created, and then another person erased some of the elements, and called it their art. I was honestly regretting the research that lied ahead. However, I see not that Robert Rauschenberg's piece of work was inventive. I am sure that he was ridiculed for the way he created this new type of art. On the other hand it was accepted because of the embellishment of highlights that are also used by erasing to create light. With this piece, Robert was gracious enough to title this piece "Erased de Kooning Drawing," thus showing that the true ownership of the drawing was shared. I believe this was…

    | I am a multi-sensory learner, so my learning strategy is to use the style that seems to fit at the time. If I am reading from a textbook, then I will read aloud and take notes while I read. I will then read the notes aloud and chart anything on the computer that needs to be charted. I would also look for opportunities to take breaks, to help staying attentive.…

    Divors Rate in Canada

There was a time when one out of a human marriage’s used to end in a divorce. “ A divorce is like and ampulation: you survive it, but there’s less of you” by Margaret Atwood. It is a legal action between married people to terminate their marriage relationship. It can also be defined as the dissolution of marriage. In my opinion, for almost all people it is very hard to deal with this kind of situation. No one enters a marriage life believing that some day it will end up in divorce but due to their habits, feelings, misunderstandings most of the marriages are ending up. The divorce rates have increased since the Divorce laws has been introduced in 1968, 20% of all divorces in Canada are a repeat divorce for atleast one of the spouses. With that, the divorce rate for first marriages is lower than the divorce rate for all other marriages. There were 27,577 divorces in Ontario in 2001 and the statistics showed that the number of marriages are declining and the number of the families living in common- relationships are increasing, although these relationships also lead to marriage but are short lived.…

He also gives suggestion about taking notes, which is writing down what you have learned by reading in real sentences. I do not usually record something in writing when I read textbooks or articles because I always try to make sense in my head; however, as the time elapses, memories tend to get vague and become hard to reconstruct in many cases. Therefore, notes are definitely needed as a clue to stimulate your brain and reconstruct exactly what you should know. Summarizing and writing down what you have learned by reading are very helpful to recall your memories and at the same time, it makes your memories more solid since you have already made sense and written in real sentences. Verbalizing your thoughts is also one of the tips that he suggests and helps you to remember your thoughts on the topic. Speaking your thoughts or what you have learned after documenting them in real sentences is an effective way to repeat them and fixedly memorizes the knowledge as well. As he says, the most important thing in learning is to make sense and remember. These means will certainly help me to improve the study habit and enrich the learning.…

My learning style strongly suggests the Read/write preference. With this preference of learning style, information would be displayed in a format of words. Many teachers and students are known for having a strong partiality for this mode of learning. This preference accentuates the need to read and write when obtaining information, as well as when the person at hand is relaying the information for others. Manuals, reports, essays and assignments that require reading a text are strategic methods for…

One of the most important learning styles that aides my learning process is the visual learning style. Saying that, this learning style allows me to understand and multi task two things at the same time to solve a challenging problem. For example, in mathematics I can be adding and subtracting double denominators and changing fractions at the same time. This learning style helps me grasp the content better and enables me to enjoy it. At times it is necessary to combine more than one learning style to obtain the objective and yield a positive outcome in the learning process. When reading any new material, identifying…

Answering the questions from the Learning Style Inventory I established that my learning style is visual. This did not surprise me for I tend to remember faces rather than names and remembering information is vital when I have a textbook, visual aids, and written information (Bethel University, 2013, p. 19). Being a visual learner indicates that I learn with my eyes to retain the knowledge needed. This perhaps is beneficial because it requires me to understand my learning abilities to succeed in any aspect in life. In my personal and professional life being a visual learner provides me the ability to learn challenging and difficult tasks and skills. Taking on a class or subject would be simple by knowing that visual learners operate by observing…
