“Sports can end at anytime. If something happens, it happens. You can’t really prevent it, which is really heartbreaking,” said optimistic Levi Moon, who is 2o year old majoring in his second year at Niagara County Community College as a physical education student. Freshman Liberal Arts student, Julian Placencia also indicated that his realistic fear is being injured and not being able to end his career on his own terms. He described that this fear represents him as an individual because it makes him play even harder and train even harder to prevent things from happening.
There are many types of fears, including the fear of heights, flying, spiders, and the list goes on. Most people experience these fears to a certain standard and there is no psychological reason why. Even though, it has been said that those are just irrational fears, it is still difficult for one to overcome them.
