Chief Red Cloud was a chief for the Sioux. He led as chief from 1868 to 1909. He was born in 1822 And died on December 10th, 1909.…
The Red Supergiant is a huge star and also is bright red.But that is not all to the red supergiant. The red supergiant star is red because of the temperature of the star. The hotter the star it is blue but when it is medium temperature it takes a red color. The shells on the red supergiant can expand when going through fusion.…
Cory Brunish stated in his article that it is waste of money to explore the Mars. We should use the money on solving problems on Earth, such as curing diseases, cleaning up the environment, and fighting hungry, homelessness, poverty, and unemployment.…
The sky is illuminated by the sun, only the size of our moon this far out. The red dust swirls with a gust of wind and your movements are slowed by the weight of your spacesuit. Your progress across the barren desert toward the compound that houses the plants you and your companions need to survive is slow but by now, four months into your new life, you have become used to it. Just eleven months ago you left Earth and started your journey toward what is now your home, the red planet of our solar system, Mars. The year is 2027 and you can’t believe you arrived here at last.…
-The sun is located in one of the Milky Way's outer arms, about 25,000 light years from the galactic center.…
There are two paths in which we could take, one being, of course, the stereotypical view of a colony on Mars or the Moon, but on the other hand, it is feasible to have humans living in orbit with the advent of new technology. There is a general argument to be made for both, for example, colonization on a planet, although extremely expensive, could have that issue overlooked through alternative means. In Kelsey Tollefson’s, author of Asteroid Prospects II: Between a Rock and a Hard Place, own words, “The United States, for one, has set its sights on the Red Planet. NASA’s Journey to Mars initiative hopes to achieve “Earth Independence” by the year 2030. NASA’s estimated budget for 2017 is set at $19 billion, much of which would go towards developing technology capable of sending humans to Mars” (Tollefson). One may wonder why Mars is the center of attention for many researchers, and the answer to that is quite simple. As Edward McCullough, lead scientist for the Boeing Company, mentions, “Mars is a user-friendly world, rife with many industrially useful minerals for construction and manufacturing purposes. It has a suite of ‘ates,’ ‘ites’ and ‘ides’ of common metals with common non metals. The red planet is also wrapped in abundant carbon dioxide which will be fairly easy to condense” (David). McCullough was also quoted as saying, “There is abundant evidence of past…
Introduction: Hi. I am about to talk to you about a Greek God named,Apollo. Apollo was an olympian god of music, poetry, prophecy, youth, healing, and the aversion of plague and harm. Apollo’s Roman and Greek name are the same they are both Apollo. Apollo is usually found in is Mt.Olympus. He has a lot of Myths that say he has been is Mt.Olympus for over 56 years!! Which is actually a lot of years to stay in one place. Apollo has 8 powers and they are Truth, Academia, Prophecy, Poetry, Archery, Disease, Medicine and Music.Apollo had a lot of relatives. His mom was named Leto. His dad was named Zeus. He had a twin sister named Artemis. He had a couple of wife/Lovers named Daphne, Princess Koronis, Huntress Kyrene, and Youth Hyakinthos. He had 50 children. Some other family/Relatives Apollo had was Hades, Hestia, Poseidon, Demeter, and Hera.…
The planet I live is called Planet Buzz. The place is devoid of people, except for me. The place looks like a gigantic ball of yellow, flowery dust. The dust swirls around the planet and shrouds it from outsiders. The dust smells of methane and honey. Planet Buzz has many bees which is why the atmosphere smells of honey. The methane smell is from the core of the planet. Everyday, the core leaks over two hundred million pounds of methane.…
Wolves are just beautiful animals, a long bushy tail only ever carried straight downward or straight out, short round tipped ears, large nose pad. Adults usually weigh around 60-120 pounds.…
1. The large mainstream environmentalism groups started to compromise too much with regulatory agencies and bureaus, starting with the Glen Canyon Dam project. This began an estrangement with the mainstreams that culminated in the rise of more militant groups like Earth First! Glen Canyon represented what was fundamentally wrong with the country's conservation policies: arrogant government officials motivated by a quasireligious zeal to industrialize the natural world, and a diffident bureaucratic leadership in the mainstream environmental organizations that more or less willingly collaborated in this process.

The mainstream environmental groups and government held the premise that mankind should control and manage the natural world.…
1) What do we mean by a geocentric universe? Contrast a geocentric view with our modern view of the universe.…
We can solve world issues like world hunger and overcrowding by growing crops and moving people out into our solar system. We can bring a whole new industry of trade. We can build infrastructure and technologies with these resources that are literally beyond imagination. Millions of job opportunities can be opened up, from a space janitor to a commander of a spacecraft. Anyone's dreams and aspirations can really come true. We can create a solid backup of the human race on a different planet. We have been coming up with plans to go to mars for 65 years. The plans are around. The research has been done. We can do it, we just need to go. We can send all the rovers and drones that we want to the red planet. But what a rover can do in its entire lifetime can be accomplished by a human in one single day. Rovers have only scratched the surface humans can explore so much more. To go to mars it takes all of us. Every race, religion, country, and creed. We unite to achieve anything we can unite together and reach mars. Going to the moon united us all and inspired a generation at a time of worry and anguish. Going to mars will do the same. Impossible is a word humans use far too often, Mars is certainly not…
New Horizons is a NASA New Frontiers mission managed by the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Launched on January 19, 2006, the New Horizons spacecraft is due to pass Jupiter on February 28, 2007, en route to photographing and examining Pluto and other objects in the Kuiper Belt. Currently traveling at over 51,000 miles per hour, New Horizons was the fastest spacecraft ever launched. Yet, it will require eight more years to reach planet Pluto, which will…
February 2013, asteroid 2012 DA14 is plummeting towards Earth. My science class at Crestwood Junior High was chatting about this amazing phenomenon. Most of the class is just counting down the minutes until the bell rings. But I had just started my journey through the unknown, that is still going on today. Wanting to learn all I can about spacecrafts, planets, asteroids, and the many other things around us. From some of the first spacecrafts, all the way to cool technologies that never came to be. Just like the Dyna-Soar spaceplane that was canceled just before building started. This space age style journey has been going on for more than three years. Over just three short space filled years, I have accumulated two telescopes,…
We can use the mars model to diagnose the causes responsible for different problems in the given scenario. The causes are as follows…
