The hardest obstacles that I had to overcome in AAA 109 were time management and academic skills. Annotating chapters, video clips, and success essay assignments were the most challenging academic skills to master because I work a full time job at the FedEx ramp which is located at the airport and making time to do homework. For the longest time, my time management skills lacked because I didn’t have set schedule on what I was going to do each day for tasks like homework or going to the gym. …show more content…
What I have learned from these obstacles is to, prioritize which homework assignments that need to be done right away vs assignments that can wait and ask for help from others. The biggest issue I have overcoming is managing my money because I spend so much that I am reckless with my money and have to live paycheck to paycheck each week. However, these past few weeks I have been careful with managing my money each paycheck.
There have been many things that I have learned in AAA 109.
But, the one that was interesting the most was about Ethnicity/Inclusion/Marginalization. Ethnicity is the type of race an individual which may include the following: White, black, Latino, and Mexican. Marginalization is preventing an individual or individuals to move up in life, such as getting promoted to the next rank in the military or becoming a manager at a job due to their race or abilities. Inclusion is the involvement of being in a group. The Ethnicity part was hard to overlook in the Ethnicity, Inclusion, and Marginalization lesson because I didn’t want to hurt a person’s feelings by asking what race they are or making assumption of what race they
are.
In conclusion to this paper, AAA 109 has taught me many things during this semester and I will continue to use these learning experiences in my everyday life. The things I have learned so far are academic skills, time management, finances, personal responsibility, Ethnicity, Inclusion, and Marginalization.
