This piece of scenario is based on my experience in general ward, where i did an admission procedure. Today with the use of computer system it is highly convenient for a nurse to plan an admission through the patient details, which are received before the patient arrives (According to the my hospital policy, nurse`s get an hour before the admission to prepare for the upcoming patient). The patient detail showed that the patient had coronary artery disease and was admitted for pre operative check for coronary artery bypass grafting. I organized and reviewed the patient file in the computer to obtain first end information to do my initial planning. I prepared the bed and made everything ready for the patient. When the patient arrived, I was there to receive and welcome him. Firstly I introduced myself to the patient as his nurse and will be taking care of him till the next shift.
