Shifting my head slowly from left to the right I glanced at my classmates, as the lecturer entered the room I was awfully anxious with muddled thoughts flowing through my head. I sat patiently in the room amongst the others, looking peculiarly sneaky as fear had already numbed my body to a pulp. However, as Dr. Jennifer introduced herself and asked the same of us, I started to feel a bit more ebullient and involved. Undeniably, I may never forget how valiant and proud I was to introduce myself with regards to my name and the firm handshake that followed. Being self- confident and optimistic are extreme views that were discussed, and from there, I have learnt that being proud shows that you are assertive in one’s self. Confidently, I can say that what I have learnt in the start of this module is undoubtedly valuable in life, as there are factors which show that an individual is courteous, enthusiastic and open- minded. All of which helps an individual to develop high self- esteem and become self- reliant. I am now aware of my strengths and weaknesses in relation to my attitude, skills and persona. The information gained has helped me to improve some factors, such includes being more cooperative and the ability to have faith in life with the understanding that self- improvement and development is vital. Public speaking skills are crucial. Hence, I have learnt that it is important to practice public speaking skills as it aids in delivering information effectively, and allows you to captivate your audience. In addition to that effective communication is however also necessary and from the start of this module, I have learnt that communicating effectively with others fosters understanding, credibility and provides opportunity to respond freely without
