Remembrance Day means something different to everyone but I don't feel enough emphasizes is taught to today's generation. Kids find it boring to stand around in the cold November air listening to sombre music and speeches of respect. Today technology fills the world with ‘information’ that is useless. In fact, social media is the #1 cause for acts of hate in the 21st century because it is easier to hide behind the screen of your computer than to hide inside a trench like the men and women who initially fought for our freedom did. Instead of posting that picture or retweeting something that won't matter in a few days time, we could put social media to good use and help people understand how we can memorialize what happened during those times. People need to know that veterans were not the only ones who endured the pain of war, as war has no boundaries for age and sex. Mothers, children, wives, husbands and families also suffered these terrible times. Is this what we want to happen
