In this essay I will focus on three Renaissance rulers of England and how they contributed to the changes in England towards the modern Britain. Moreover, there were other factors outside the courts that changes peoples lives, therefore I will emphasize some inventions that had impact on the Renaissance period, and also religious and political decisions. I have chosen to use the three most important rulers of Renaissance England as a back-cloth to the events that occurred.

He made himself `Head of Church`and closed down the Catholic Churches and Monasteries. He then divided the land between his nobles, who became landlords. The landlords then, offered pheasants a parcels so that they could cultivate it and support themselves. Thus, the landlord became wealthy by the taxation of the pheasants and the Crown made a vast amount of taxes from the landowners. This was the beginning of the aristocracy, even today, Britain has landowners and only a small percentage of the whole population owns a large percentage of the land, in addition they have great influence on society and politics. The renaissance was also the starting point for British trade and the great economic expansion. Invention of the compass, a large merchant fleet, discovery of the `new world`with the possibilities for trade with raw materials, became the beginning of the British colonisation empire, known as the `Golden Era`.Commercial economy and the industrial revolution followed in the later centuries.
