A BRIEF BIOGRAPHY ON THE ENTERPRENEUR
Chief (Dr.) Michael Ade Ojo was born on June 14, 1934 at Ilara-Mokin in Ondo State, South West of Nigeria. He studied Business Administration at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and graduated in June, 1965.
He has worked with some multinational companies including C.F.A.O., the then British Petroleum (BP) now African Petroleum Plc.
Today he is the proud owner of ELIZADE NIGERIA LIMITED with several subsidiaries including Toyota Nigeria Limited, Oodua Creations Limited, Crown and Gold Shipping Company Limited among others. He is the Chairman of various Companies including Moorhouse Sofitel Limited, Imperial Telecommunications Limited, Custodian and Allied Insurance Company Limited.
He setup the Ade Ojo Scholarship Scheme in 1991 under which more than Seventy (70) indigent students have so far benefited. His Current project is the Elizade University.
Chief Michael Ade Ojo has attended several top management development courses including the Chief Executive Program of the Lagos Business School (CEP-7) and the IESE/LBS Seminar on Competitive Strategy and Value Creation in Barcelona, Spain. A devout Christian, he is happily married with children and grand children.
THE INDUSTRY TO WHICH THE BUSINESS BELONG
Elizade Nigeria Limited belongs to an automobile industry. It is a business involved in distributing Toyota cars and spare parts in Nigeria. That is, it has consistently been marketing, selling and servicing Toyota vehicles in Nigeria imported directly from the manufacturers in Japan.
VISION
Elizade is the brain child of Chief Michael Ade Ojo. The company evolved from a VISION, apparently made manifest through divine favours; but which Chief Ade Ojo readily accepted as a MISSION.
The dreams that gave birth to Elizade started with the relationship between Chief Ade Ojo and his wife Mrs. Elizabeth Wuraola Ojo, when both met as students at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in the early 60s. Chief Ade Ojo who was studying
