Introduction Highly developed technologies and a highly modernized world affect every human life. Through this technologies and their usage, we tend to broaden and widen our understanding and knowledge in the issues and concerns happened in our surroundings as we exercise our freedom of expressions. In early 2004, cyberspace became popular; the online games, online chatting and emailing are being started. As the year added the cyberspace also being more widen. Now as we reach the modernized world, internet became more interesting and headline of the news. The more we used internet, the more issues and topics we see in every single second of every individual’s life. As Senator Eduardo Angara proposed the Republic Act No 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 signed by President Aquino III, that it’s address the online interaction: cybersex, child pornography, identity theft, illegal access to data and libel. This law professes to protect us from those who would do us wrong via digital means also threatens to take away our freedom to say what we want. By this law preventing Cybercrime, are we responsible enough in using cyberspace? How can we awe of sending comments and reactions without any thinking about the issues spreading in the internet? How about our freedom of expression, Is there any exemptions?
Specific Objectives
The objectives of the study are to:
1. Determine the perception or capacity of comprehension of Social Media users in Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
