Obesity epidemic is more common a rounding the world for adults and child. Many people have positive perspective about obesity epidemic, they think it is just weight gain, but it is not true. Obesity has negative effects on human body and economic for long and short period of time. Obesity epidemic also relates to many dangerous diseases that can threat child’s life or fatal diseases such as depressions, heart diseases, type 2 diabetes, breathing difficulties, several type cancers, asthma. and among others. Moreover, obesity epidemic is a serious public health issue and it also connects closely to the public health area because public health has professional techniques to deal and solving problems with obesity or any health problems for example prevention, promotion, protection and education people form diseases and how we fight or eradicating communicable and uncommunicable diseases. So obesity is an important public health issue. Studies are presented many factors that lead to obesity epidemic and overweight. Lifestyle, behaviors, socioeconomic, environment lead to increasing rate of childhood obesity and health problems on human body. “Obesity can harm nearly every system in a child’s body-heart and lungs, muscles and bones, kidneys and digestive tract, as well as the hormones that control blood sugar and puberty-and can also take a heavy social and emotional toll”.
Many direct factors play a greater role for weight gain that can lead to Increasing mortality, morbidity of children and expenditures cost of obesity pandemic treatment.
The rate of mortality and treatment costs of obesity goes up in united states. “Each year in the United States, 400 000 deaths and $117 billion in health-care and related costs are attributable to obesity”. This is a frightening number that may be cause a big globally problem for American people next 10 or 15 years later. In addition, “Approximately 17% (or 12.7 million) of children and adolescents aged 2—19 years are obese”. from 1960 to 1970 the rate of obesity of children was less than today, it was 5 – 7 percentage since 1960 to 1970. Today the most concern is the first or second kill in U.S is obesity. “In addition, 44% of the diabetes burden, 23% of the ischaemic heart disease burden and between 7% and 41% of certain cancer burdens are attributable to overweight and
obesity.”
