was coming back down it smacked me right in the side of the head. It was at that moment I felt as if my life was flashing before my eyes. When it happened, I kind of brushed it off and acted all hard about it. I was holding the side of my head because the impact had made me very light headed. Only after I removed my hand from my head, I saw how much blood there was actually on my hand. Honestly, there was so much blood it could almost fill an entire underground dug out pool. I let loose a high pitch painful scream, I likely woke up everyone in the 618. Page, Ella, and I sprinted over to her father and hopped in the car. Jeff, their dad, drove me to my house so I could go to the ER and be examined. Finally, we get to my house and I jumped into my mom's car so we could leave for the hospital. I had no doubt that my mother was frightened but, she remained calm about the situation, she didn't want to scare me any more than I already was. Blood, significant amounts of blood, just kept gushing out of my head. My mother and I had just arrived at the ER. Waiting for an available doctor was just under about a 45 minute wait; so, basically a century in my little 10 year old brain. In the tiny room with, purple walls, I waited and waited until finally the doctor walked in and greeted himself. Later, he comes in and numbs my head with numbing cream. The doctor said he would be back in 15 minutes to staple my wound in my head shut. I felt as if I was waiting in the tiny little purple room with no windows for decades. After 3 hours of being at the hospital, the doctor eventually cleared me to leave. We headed back home around 8:30ish. Once I was home, I put on my costume; not even cleaning the blood out of my hair, I trick or treating. Needless to say, I went as a zombie vampire that year. Halloween in 2010 was definitely one of those you’ll-never-forget-this type thing.
