Research Paper On Marbles

Introduction
I am doing a project that involves the ‘works’ of Gravity - discovered by Sir Isaac Newton.
Gravity: the force that attracts a body toward the centre of the earth, or toward any other physical body having mass. For most purposes Newton's laws of gravity apply, with minor modifications to take the general theory of relativity into account.
My experiment is labeled The Marble Dropping experiment and has been done in many different ways using different methods and equipment. The marble I'm talking about is different to the Marble used in flooring or other things.
Marble: a small ball of colored glass or similar material used as a toy.
Marble is more specifically classified as a Metamorphic Rock.
A Metamorphic Rock: a type of rock which has been changed by extreme heat and pressed. Its name is derived from the word morph, meaning change. The original rock gets heated (temperatures greater than 150 to 200 °C) and pressured (1500 bars).There are many different types of marbles and also many different games to use these moulded glass balls. Kids come together with lots of marbles all sizes and battle. You are considered “Cool” if you have more marbles than your opponents. I’m not going to mention all of them as there is a lot of explaining. My friends and I used to play on the grass/ground surface but you can also create a circle and play in a restricted matter. …show more content…

In my experiment i will be using a larger marble to make it easier for me to keep track of it and prevent it from getting lost in a tiny space that a regular marble with fit into. My marble has a diameter of 2 and a half
