Relay. Throughout the track there are small memorials to those who have passed away from and those who have survived cancer. According to the American Cancer Society “1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.” This statistic alone shows the vital importance of providing funds to both research cancer and provide support for those already diagnosed. Hinds will be hosting a Relay for Life event on April 21st at the Renfroe Stadium on the Raymond Campus. The event officially starts at 6p.m and will continue until midnight that evening. Everyone is welcome to come out to walk and support the event. Honors Program members can also be on the lookout for community service opportunities, such as helping with recycling efforts and various other tasks.
