and the attached roots. Next, they begin to till the ground, making several passes, raking out rocks and removing debris, catching them in this interesting machine. They then continue in their circular motion but begin adding natural fertilizers, Lyme, peat moss, and truckloads of new topsoil all in preparation for sewing the new seed. After the seed has been dispersed, it is covered with straw and then the crew proceeds to water the ground.
In all of this, I received revelation that our hearts and minds need to be opened to hearing and receiving God’s Words. We cannot allow troubles or persecution or the deceitfulness of wealth and the desire for pleasure to HARDEN our hearts and minds, causing them to become rocky and stony, full of thorns, etc. and preventing the Word of God from bearing fruit in our lives. So, I began to talk with the Lord, “Lord God, please let my heart and mind be open to Your Word. Help me to make the necessary preparations by tearing up roots, rocks, and debris. I want your Word to bear fruit in my life, to change my character for the better, and to build my faith so that I may bear much fruit for your kingdom through my life and the lives that I have the ability to influence. (Mark 4:20) “And the seed that fell on good soil represents those that hear and accept God’s Word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted.”
