Vasco da gama is a man who does not keep his word and that needs to be charged for his crimes.He has done some unbelievable stuff that many people would think that is not right or unreal.And yes he did some amazing things over his lifetime but were they good enough for killing as many lives as he did.I do think he should get what he deserves because what he has done through the coast of Setubal(French port in portugal).As we step back and look at this situation he was in he could of handled it better too.But for his actions he will have to consequences for his ways.So this insane man should be put behind bars for this.
The first piece of evidence for my case is that King John the second made the voyage to get the ships back from the coastline
of Setubal(French port in portugal)where they had been taken.Right before King John the second left the rein he elected King Manuel to rein and for him to send the right person for the job to get get the ships back for them.Doing this was not intended to hurt anyone.Vasco da Gama already went on a voyage before this and was now popular from it so he knew what it would feel like when he came back from the second voyage with joys and shouts from people cheering him on.He wanted all the power to himself and liked being the center of attention.When he went on the voyage there were people in the ships and around the ports where they were located and set the ships on fire.This killed over 300 people and some weren’t even on the boat like women and children just on the ports or at trading post that get slandered by Vasco and his crew.
So all of this together Vasco da Gama should be charged with second degree murder for his crimes that he has done.Killing all those people without being commanded too is unheard of.The French did take their ships before but he was not commanded to go kill 300 people like that.
The second degree murder says that he went to the coastline of Setubal to get the ships without intending to kill anyone but his idiotic behavior got the best of him and without reason to even kill the people on the ports.Like people in the trading post didn’t even take the ships but they still got killed like women and children.
