¨Don`t be afraid of the future Build It.¨ Welding has taught that nothing is impossible if you work for it. At first I didn't listen to my welding instructor so I didn't learn to weld right. My project ended up not looking right and got a bad score on it. I went back to my welding instructor and learned to weld right so I could make my next project look better. It all started when I didn't listen. First I didn't hold my welding gun right so it wouldn't allow me to make good welds. When my welds got messed up I couldn't keep going because I had to go back and grind them off and retry. Every time I had to go back and re weld my project it wasted wire that I could be using on good better welds. I didn't get the full aspects of welding
because I didn't learn to weld right the first time. Since I didn't listen my project got messed up. When I had messed up my project and couldn't make it look better I finished the project and got a bad score. Since I got a bad score my project couldn't qualify for state or districts. I decided to go back and try to make it look better even though it was too late to get it judged. I didn't want people to think I was terrible since I didn't listen to my instructor. I went back and learned to weld right and listen to my instructor. I learned the right way to hold the welding gun to make my welds better. I made my next project for the fair look a lot better than the first one did. I was able to send this project to state since I got a better score. I became a better welder because I went back and learned right and did what my teacher said to do so I wouldn't mess up. If you listen to your welding instructor in the first place you won't have to go back and learn it again. Don't give up if you don't get welding right off the bat. My first project could have been better but I didn't listen and messed up. If I would have learned right the first time I wouldn't have messed up my project. If you learn to do it right the first time then you won't have to waste time to relearn it.
