Next, Athletes get paid 50 million and more dollars for 1 year and teachers, firefighters and members of the military get minimum wage.“It seems morally wrong that athletes would be paid more than people like firefighters who serve the community and risk their lives”- Spector. The President annual salary of 400,000 dollar is less than most athletes get paid. The average middle American household income is 54,000 depending on level of education Athletes would by something with that amount of money.     If colleges were to pay athletes there would be no fair way to distribute the money. Athletes perform their sport at different levels of ability and for various lengths of time. This study showed that out of 288 Division 1 schools only 23 were running their programs in a profitable way. This means that only those 23 schools had the money to pay a college athlete.
