The acceleration of globalization has raised issues culture conformity and diversity throughout the world. These topics are argued drastically throughout the world. Apparently, issues relate to cultures will not simply defined by right or wrong because each coins have two sides and every culture have their own advantages and drawbacks. True, many people may claim that globalization has made this world smaller and the distinctions between nations or cultures are disappearing. But personally, I hold positive opinions about the cultural developments nowadays.
The unchangeable rule of the nature is “survival of the fittest”, which means, whatever species, communities, nations or cultures need to adjust continuously and persistently to thrive for survival. So I personally think that changes in some cultures are actually inevitable. Because everyone in nowadays’ society have the right to chose the way they want to live, so cultural conformity is the outcome of the combination of individual choices. For example in many countries teenagers chose to watch Hollywood movies and superhero comics such as Batman and Captain America just because they think those media products are fashion and cool. Nowadays, technologies develop rapidly and every single person in this world has to adapt him or herself to the brand new world that is connected by Internet, communication and various social media. Literally, we are forced to improve our efficiency to catch up the changing world, so we have to make our own choices, to accept new things, which may seems isolated from our culture. When every single person in a certain group has made his or her choice, it may lead a transformation of the cultural type. Some old and more experienced people may claim that this kind of change is somewhat disrespectful to the convention, but the truth is a large number of cultures are formed by innovation.
