It is common for teenagers to expect their parents to tell them what to do, whether it be to gather around the dinner table or who to vote for. Respecting other people's rights and beliefs is another responsibility which we have as citizens of the United States. If no one respected others rights and their beliefs, it could potentially turn into a war between races leading us to a divided nation.
