My Responsibility To America

My Responsibility to America Today, the majority of the youth believe that their lives don’t create an impact on our country. Minors say to themselves “ I can’t vote” or “I don’t have a job so I don’t have a responsibility to America”. But they’re wrong. Every American citizen, young or old impacts our country’s lifestyle, health, and atmosphere. I believe that my responsibility to America is to grow up to learn how to become a future leader of our society, respect the environment, and to get an education.

Many Americans don’t care about the environment as much as they should. For example, 9% of Americans buy and use illegal drugs, while only 7% of Americans are actively involved in environmentalism. People don’t see the environment as a concern because they don’t understand that the health of our environment affects more than we think. The environment affects people’s health, stress levels, and even their behavior. By keeping the environment healthy, we can prevent things such as global warming and biodiversity. If all Americans would make a purposeful change to respect the environment, they’re would be a lower risk of diseases such as birth defects or cancer. According to an article by Business Insider, India has one of the worst environments and in return has the highest environment fatality rate and was also voted the 11th worst country to live in. It is my responsibility to America to respect the environment to prevent catastrophes such as birth defects, diseases, global warming, and biodiversity, as well as create a beautiful place to
