One of the features Obama is allusions which he uses by choosing the topic of children affected by gun violence to support the main topic of gun control. Adding the topic of children affected by gun violence is a strong supporting topic because in America there is a lack of gun control and led many people to massacre. For example there has been cases when one or two gunmen started shooting and killing normal citizens which in some cases has happened in school where children were the victim. The lack of gun control have allow buying a firearm simple task and more easy for those who is wanting or thinking of doing a massacre. This was done in the speech to show the audience how he emotionally felt about the tragic events and that he even needed to cry which isn’t usually for the president Obama to see which he used to express his feelings. This is really rare to happen because this really is the first the Obama has cried during a speech event though he has been to many differents speeches with some of the other speeches he has done being really tragic as well he decides to cry in this speech showing this is the most tragic speech he has done throughout the years he has been president. This feature also enforce the rhetorical feature anecdotes making the story more meaning for him.
In conclusion, the gun control speech used all these rhetorical feature to help enhance his speech to create a bigger impact to the audience and show the message of how weak laws could cause that much damage it can do to the community if aren't well
