In addition to being a member on the board of GAIA and public citizen, she had been on the board of many other organizations like Grassroots recycling network, Global Greengrants India, Greenpeace India the environmental health fund and the international forum on globalization. She took her undergraduate degree from Barnard College, Columbia University and has a Masters in city and regional planning from Cornell University ("green peace"). Leonard has spent most of her life fighting for the environment and travelled to many countries around the world to complete her research. She does not address a certain age group but anybody who cares enough about the environment to make a change; so she did not rely on one method specifically but kept switching her approach. Emotions, facts, logic and statistics were all used in her video in alternating way to reach to every person in the audience regardless of their personality, beliefs or age. She uses an appropriate language that is simple but also strong and convincing. Her use of questions helped her catch the audience's interest and shows them that they need to get the answers to know the truth. She also uses a sarcastic tone to show the contradiction and flaws in the system around us. Using examples from everyday life helps the audience to relate to the topic. Leonard did not just make the audience think about her cause or take it into consideration but actually think of a way to be a productive citizen and take a step forward to change the situation and give back to the
