Our first example is Context, in this article the context is used to bring the reader to attention not only of the topic, but the background of it as well. The writer begins to demonstrate the rise and fall of computer gaming, as well as its rise once again. The reader establishes this by simply using context to inform the reader of the situation. This allows for a connection and can help when trying to make connections or persuade a person and/or group(s).
The second example is Audience, the audience is who the writer is trying to reach. The writer of this article accomplishes this by using context to relate to the audience. Once more, this allows for a connection between writer and audience and can be used to persuade. By using context and purpose the writer influences the audience. while it can be used in combination with both context and audience, it is a primary part of writing. It is the core if you will, and every paper, article, or report needs to have one.
These are the three key elements of rhetorical writing. With each elements come depth, and in rhetorical writing the deeper you can go the better. So remember that even the simplest things can be the greatest
