because if you do I suggest you do as I say and don't complain, or do you want to end up like her?” he questioned the servant while pointing at the chained up girl, Shayara. Shayara Merciful was the King’s half niece, her mother was a goddess which means that if the King kills her a certain way, he’ll be immortal. Shayara was like a Camellia, growing in harsh weather, yet still being able to uphold its beauty. She had dark brown hair and dark brown eyes like most girls but her beauty enthralled everyone that laid their eyes on her. She was not only smart and adventurous, but she was courageous and independent. Her father had always said “ It’s extremely important for a person to know how, and when to act a certain way.”. From a very young age she was taught how to fight and how to survive, because they didn’t live in the best of times. The Medieval Times were rough since there was constant war between the North and the South, not many people in the south knew about Shayara and the King intended to keep it that way. “Uncle please” Shayara said with a tear falling and hitting a chain. “I am your King and you will address me properly.” “Your Grace please, let me go” she said with a sniffle, “Why are you doing this to me, we’re family?” “Family?
You weren’t thinking about family when you and your father talked about speaking to the council about letting you be Queen at the age of 14-, he was lying in bed dying, and all you two could think about was f how terrible it would be if I was King” “Uncle you don’t have to do this, you can-” “Don’t tell me what I don’t have to do, because I have never been more certain of doing something in my life..But don’t worry I’ll show you enough mercy.” he walked into the dark hallway and closed the dungeon door. At that very moment Shayara knew what she had to do.
Tim was the guard that night, and he was terrible at his job. He was an alcoholic, and when he was drunk he was the most gullible person in the world. You could tell Tim that there was a Tsunami and that sharks were ruling the world, and he would unsheathe his sword and swing it around like a maniac.
“Ahhhh!” Shayara screamed in agony.
“ What happened, are you alright my lady?” tim asked rushing into the dungeon.
“No it’s trying to kill me”-she stepped back a little- “Get me out of these chains before the ghost kills …show more content…
me”
Rapidly getting out the key for the chains. “Hurry my lady, it’s getting closer”
Shayara ran out the dungeon and closed the door. She went up to her room and grabbed some clothes and weapons like a sword; a bow and arrows; some daggers;and a sickle. She placed the clothes in a bag, some weapons in their sheath, and the rest wherever she could. Then she went down the stairs and into the empty kitchen, where she grabbed some food and water and placed them in her bag.
“BRING HER TO ME ALIVE” King Barrett yelled furiously. Shayara ran out the back door of the castle and into the forest. She ran zigzag across the forest knowing that it is harder to catch someone running zigzag than to catch someone running in a straight line. After about 15 minutes of running she heard the crunching of leaves, she saw from a distance three knights, she recognized one of them because she had heard him talking to his wife about how he was going to overthrow the King by becoming immortal himself. She approached them and withdrew her sword knowing one of them was a traitor.
“My lady, come with us we promise no harm will come to you in our hands” said one of the knights.
The traitor withdrew his sword, turned around and with one swing slice, his head rolled to the other knight’s feet. The knight stepped back in disbelief, the traitor approached him and slice, Shayara stood there looking at the knight while holding a bloody sickle. She approached him slowly and told him to leave. While turning around she heard the knight withdraw his sword then slice, his head rolled onto the leaves like a Basketball rolling on a court after gym. After walking for about two hours and avoiding the knights Shayara came across a place that looked like the Garden of Eden. Its beauty mesmerized her. She filled her gourd cup with water and drank vigorously. She heard footsteps approaching so she placed her hand on her sword. She felt someone really close to her so she turned around and pinned the person against the tree “Who are you?” she questioned the dark haired boy with green eyes. “I’m just getting some water” he said trying to convince her that he was no threat. He was carrying a sword of Valyrian steel which was very expensive, only high-ranking knights could afford. Shayara noticed this and asked “Why are you carrying that sword? Where did you get it?”. He knew he had to come up with a convincing story before she realized he was a knight, “ My name is Willis Ford, I work with my grandfather as a swordsmith in the South, I made this sword for a knight but he
died before I finished and my grandfather said I could keep it.”. Shayara didn’t believe any of that, but she decided not to kill him until he gave her a reason to.
“ Are you going south? Because I could help” he said with a smile.
“ I can get there myself” she said rejecting his offer.
“ Have you been South before, because it’s dangerous to walk down there alone, especially in the night.I wouldn’t want a beautiful girl like you to get hurt.” he said worriedly.
“ I’ll be fine on my own thanks” Shayara said annoyed by his pleading.
“ Well do you mind if I just stick around, i’m going South anyway.”
What he said had caught her attention so she asked “ Why were you up North?”
“Business, some of our clients can’t make it back South so I sometimes offer to bring the swords to them. They also pay me for bringing it to them.” he said proud of how fast he made that up.
