They both shared the traits of hormonal teenagers. This leading up to the next theory. Romeo and Juliet's relationship was strictly Eros love. According to Benedict Carey in the article Watching new love as it sears the brain, “romantic love is a biological urge distinct from sexual arousal”. This meaning hormones play a big part in teenage relationships. Meaning that in order for young adults or teenagers to have a compassionate love/relationship, they have to go through the phase of sexual arousement. Since Romeo and Juliet were both so young , they didn't really know the entire concept of finding true love. They let their hormones kick into over drive during the time that they were both alive. Their “love” progresses so quickly in the play that they barely have time to learn about one another.
