Romans And Mongols Similarities
There are a couple of main similarities between the Mongols and the Romans, in general. The main one being that the two had very disciplined Military forces comparable to modern day armies. Both forces understood what it took to conduct campaigns rather than fight individual battles to the death....almost the beginnings of operational arts although they certainly didn't realize this and codify it. Also, both the Romans and Mongols were very good combat engineers with the Romans being some of the greatest combat engineers the world has ever seen and the Mongols using ethnic Chinese engineers and siege equipment. Consequently both knew how to conduct siege operations. Both also understood logistics. The Romans obviously understood this because

Although the rise of the Aztec and Mongol empires did not occur in the same time period or in the same region, they are still similar. The biggest similarities are that they both lived almost entirely off of tribute and relied heavily on their armies. However, these similarities also came with differences, like the fact that their armies used different strategies/weapons. Some other differences were that the Aztecs migrated to Mexico, whereas the Mongols were just unified where they already resided. Also, the Aztecs infused religious meaning with war, unlike the Mongols, whose religion was carefully observed. These similarities and differences were what made the Aztecs and Mongols who they were.…

One major and most common similarity the Han and Roman empires share is they were both very successful and dominant compared to other societies of their time. One reason these two empires were so dominant is because of their advancement in architecture. During the Han Dynasty much of the Great Wall of China was built. Although the Han Dynasty was much more advanced in architecture than other societies they could not compare to Roman architecture, no one really could. The Romans are known for many things but one of the most commonly talked about subjects when it comes to Rome is architecture. The Romans are given credit for creating cement, which leads to all their other architecture achievements, like the Arch of Titus, The Arch of Constantine, and one of the most famous Roman Buildings the Roman Colosseum. The Roman and Han dynasty were also similar in the matter of what their weapons were made of. The Han Dynasty and the Roman Empire both used bronze and iron for things like swords, and shields. These two powerful empires share another thing in common, roads and trades routes. Some of these trade routes were by sea, the Mediterranean and Black Seas were a huge part of Roman trading. The most useful trade route during this time was the Silk Road. Various items were traded on the Silk Road such as silk, weapons, tea, wine, horses, jewelry, and other valuables. Architecture, the use of bronze and iron, and their many…

Although taking a harsher approach to conquering China, the Mongols’ barbarity does not compare to the impact they have made improving the country. The leader of the Mongols, Genghis Khan, had only one objective to bring the Mongol clans of the region under one leadership. Years later, his grandson, Kubilai Khan, maintained ties with other khanates achieving security across much of Asia. This period is called pax Mongolica or “the Mongolian peace.” Kubilai expanded his holdings in China by defeating the Sung Empire and establishing a new dynasty called the Yuan Dynasty. For the first time in three hundred years China was once again a united country. The Mongols were a very strong empire and through their…

These ruthless soldiers spent their lives travelling and conquering many towns and major cities, leaving nothing behind but messages of their defeat. The Mongols believed that good fighting came in quality of fighting not quantity, so they had smaller armies of very well- trained soldiers. Most troops were no bigger than 1000 people. Studying different culture’s rituals does indicate their beliefs, values, and lifestyles. When comparing the Ancient Egyptians to the Romans, you see cultures whose main purpose revolves around blessing the Gods so they and their families will prosper. However, the gods of Egypt are different than the gods of Rome. Roman gods appear to be superhuman or immortal humans. Both had elaborate tombs wherein the dead are buried with personal items and both believe it helps them into the afterlife. The Egyptians tombs were much more elaborate, but that could be a result of the geographical environments they lived in. And both cultures divided people into upper class, peasants and slaves and the priests of the upper class who managed the political happenings…
