Romeo and Juliet Cause and Effect Essay Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, is a story about two star-crossed lovers destined to fall in love. The play revolves around Romeo and Juliet, following them through their fateful story to their eventual death. Their downfall is created from the mistakes made by Romeo, Juliet, the Friar, and the Nurse, all building up to the tragic ending. Despite the other’s mistakes, Juliet is ultimately the one to blame for their tragic downfall. Juliet ignored her nagging conscience of the things obvious to her and did as she pleased.
