Romeo and Juliet Blame Paper
The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. A famous piece of literature, known for its ultimate love, and unfortunate events. And it all closes with death, but who’s to blame for these misfortunes? None other than Juliet herself. She was dishonest, didn’t stick up for what she wanted, and made irrational decisions that were unquestionably ludicrous. Throughout the matter, the characters face many different obstacles, and it is Juliet’s actions that made her so easy to blame. In the beginning Juliet clearly stated that she did not love Paris, the one that her family desired for her to marry. However, she kept her marriage to Romeo, the one she truly loved, to herself. “My only love sprung from my only hate!”(Shakespeare, 396). “From ancient grudge break to new mutiny…” (Shakespeare. 377). Due to the parent’s lifelong feud, Romeo and Juliet were unable to be together. Back then, the parents had more of a say in who their children’s spouse would be. However, Juliet could have put greater effort into her future with her love, and she didn’t. She also did not stand up for herself and that will never get you to where you strive to be. Therefore, no one is at fault except Juliet. The littlest of things can really set you back. Juliet Capulet learned this in a rather mournful way in the classic; Romeo and Juliet. She didn’t stand up for what was important to her, she spoke lies, and she made bizarre decisions. It is the small things that total up, and it is important to keep the consequences in mind when making decisions, big or small. Due to Juliet's lack of acknowledgment to these things, she is one hundred percent at fault for all of the tragedies in Romeo and
