To be able to do this, I must build on the foundation of knowledge I have obtained so far and work further on my education. When I look back at all my academic artefacts from the beginning of this school year along with the past years, I can tell that I have not changed too much in terms of my academic goals and records. As a person who is very goal oriented, I am very consistent with my goals, and every year I strive to achieve them. One goal that I have set for myself every year is that I to maintain a 4.0 GPA in my studies. From this goal, multiple goals have branched off of it, such as maintaining grades that are in the 90s range and ensuring that I study my notes well enough so that I understand the concepts too. When I compare past papers, I realised that my accomplishments have remained the same. My grades stay in the same range consistently; they stay in a range that I am content with. I can also deduce from my papers that I have a tendency to fluctuate in my grades during certain periods in the year. It is during these times that my grades will fall, sometimes significantly, and it affects my ability to work, my grades and my GPA. However, I usually bounce back rather quickly once I give myself time to reflect on what might be damaging the outcome of my grades. From these deductions, I know that my performance weighs out to be good overall each year. I know that I am doing well, but I want to do much better for the rest of this year and the rest of my academic school years to come. Overall, I am more than happy with the outcome of all of my grades, and I feel very accomplished with my work up to this point in time.
I am also very happy with my GPA and where it stands. What I can say, though, is that I need to work much harder and put in much more effort so that I can perform at a better, more efficient level. To reach that level, I must dedicate a larger portion of my time to my studies, practicing questions and studying the content that I have learned. I want to keep reaching new academic heights constantly. Since I have people standing behind me who also wish for my success, I feel more determined knowing that these very same people are all successful and prosperous. They want to see the same results they have achieved within me. They are all looking from the side-lines, supporting me and wishing the best for me. They are all here to watch me grow into the person they expect me to be: a strong, independent and intelligent young woman who will help lead the future generations to come. They want me to prosper, and I am doing everything within my means to fulfil my goals and wishes. One of these persons is my mom, being the greatest influence to my performance as I strive to be like her: hardworking, dedicated and passionate about what she does. The other influences are my mother’s friends who closely watch over me with her. I am here at SCA to achieve the goal of being academically well-off, and seeing that I am almost there, I know that I am one step closer to reaching my dreams, slowly making them a
reality.
